Job Description Summary:
Working with HR Business Partners, L&OD partners, Talent Acquisition, MyHR (HR shared services), and Global Compensation and Benefits team members, serves as a consultant to PayPal business leaders on various compensation-related matters such as salary management, compensation programs, market analysis, employee and manager education and communication, job design and evaluation, job offers, corporate policy and procedure interpretation. In addition, the role will be involved in the development and delivery of corporate compensation programs and initiatives.
• Applying advanced knowledge of compensation principles and understanding of the business, act as a compensation business partner, strategic solution provider and counselor to HR partners and business leaders.
• Proactively conduct competitive benchmarking analyses through participation in and analysis of surveys, turnover data, acceptance rates, etc. as well as networking to ensure that PayPal’s programs are appropriately positioned when compared to those of our talent competitors.
• Lead delivery of compensation programs (annual- and mid-year focal reviews, equity grants, bonus planning, etc.) within areas supported.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to develop offers for complex/challenging situations.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of compensation programs, systems and tools. Support compensation planning processes and continuously prepare managers to make sound compensation decisions
• Stay up to date on current compensation-related legislation and trends and ensure compliance with applicable employment-related federal and state statutory requirements regarding employee pay.
• Lead, participate in and contribute to various other projects and initiatives pertaining to compensation and/or overall global total reward programs and practices
Qualifications
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with bachelor's degree. Experience in related industries preferred (high tech, payments/financial services, consumer products)
• Ability to establish/maintain excellent working relationships with HR business partners, other HR teams and leadership teams and to influence constituents
• Knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service, analytical and problem solving skills
• Advanced computer skills (particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, compensation planning tools and compensation management systems); knowledge of Workday preferred
• Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment
