Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, sales operations, or equivalent strategy and project management experience.
- Experience collaborating and advising executives.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in sales or product strategy in traditional or digital advertising.
- Experience in branded apparel, durables, or retail or consumer product businesses.
- Experience working for technology companies, media companies, or consulting firms.
- Ability to build relationships with executive stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

As a Strategy and Operations Manager, you will be partnering with the Industry Directors. You will lead sector-wide or national projects to improve the operations of the Large Customer Sales organization.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategies, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000-$209,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Partner with Industry Directors and Heads of Industry to develop the vertical’s business plan and go-to-market roadmap.
- Lead operational logistics for your verticals by optimizing resource allocation across pods, measuring progress, and identifying opportunities to improve performance against sales goals. Facilitate weekly sales management meetings.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales team efficiencies, and lead efforts to scale best practices across your vertical or sector.
- Steer global initiatives and ensure that they are rolled out properly to your vertical or sector.
