Staff Datacenter Engineer
What to Expect
Tesla is looking for an experienced Datacenter Engineer to join the Datacenter Engineering team in Palo Alto, CA.
Our team is responsible for the design, production, and deployment of all systems from RnD, Deployment and Production. This position is a full time, on-site, role. In this role, you will be working Mechanical, Civil and Electricial engineering experts to take designs and design prototypes into functional production datacenters.
What You’ll Do
• Prioritize data center projects and multiple project scopes from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
• Work directly with global supply managers to help develop critical vendor relationships
• Work directly with design and engineering teams to ensure requirements are met adequately
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution and completion to safety, schedule, budget, and quality
• Collaborate and build relationships across the board with people you interface and work with
What You’ll Bring
• Bachelors Degree
• 5+ Years experience leading the engineering of mission critical datacenters
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders
• Familiar with Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, Controls, and Fire & Life Safety Systems
• Project management experience in any combination of construction, operations, maintenance, and project planning in complex environments
• Contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Expected Compensation
$104,000 - $348,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
