Senior Technical Consultant

Job Duties: Become an expert in the features, benefits and application of Tableau’s products. Gain and utilize an in-depth understanding of Server product(s) and its integration into client solutions, and intermediate level understanding of our Desktop/frontend product(s). Guide customers to deploy an optimized platform to enable a seamless user experience, user rights and permissions to provide security, and automated processes for ongoing Server management to give IT confidence to support rapid scale. Lead our customers to address business needs by guiding prioritized data creation efforts and enabling a data strategy that allows them to address their most critical questions. Drive all aspects of successful implementations from strategy and design to deployment and scalability of platforms. Conduct needs analysis, data reviews, and product demonstrations. Communicate via phone, email, face-to-face and web meetings with customers assisting and guiding them through the proposal and implementation process. Be responsive to customer demands and mitigate objections or product deficiencies. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, 50 Fremont Street, and 500 Howard Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and three (3) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or three (3) years of experience in the job offered. 

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) AWS; (2) SAS; (3) Google Cloud Platform (GCP); (4) DevOps; (5) Tableau; (6) Alteryx; (7) Atscale; (8) SAP Business Objects; (9) Microsoft SDKs; and (10) Azure. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Education, experience, and criminal background checks will be conducted. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $140,000.00 - $183,900.00 per annum.
