Responsibilities

How you can make an impact:

- Attract, retain, and grow talent as a team manager - Build a diverse and inclusive team culture

- Develop monetization strategy and business models to drive consumer business growth and meet customer needs

- Identify & assess market opportunities and build business cases to support new growth investment opportunities

- Connect, influence, and align leaders and the broader organization through cross-functional v-team work

- Build long-term growth plans by market, device type, to grow Microsoft 365 subscribers and revenue

- Influence engineering roadmaps based on market opportunity, competitive landscape, and economic impact

- Provide thought leadership on cross Microsoft initiatives across consumer & commercial business, optimizing for global maxima

- Develop key metrics, forecasts, and reporting in partnership with finance and engineering to monitor business performance

 

This is a highly visible role that will require expertise in several areas:

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years people and team management experience with a focus on modeling, coaching, and caring for employees
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience and knowledge of SaaS marketing and business models required or equivalent practical or functional experience, preferably with consumer and digital technology focus
  • OR equivalent experience.

 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field
  • OR 8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Successful history of driving tangible business strategy changes and results
  • Successful track-record of cross-functional collaboration with teams, contributors, and stakeholders across multiple seniority levels including executives
  • Proven track record in planning and orchestrating strategic and complex business activities
  • Ability to excel in an ambiguous environment and reprioritize to align with business objectives
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute efficiently and effectively 

Business Planning M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $264,000 per year.
