We are currently seeking an

ESS RESIDENTIAL OPERATION / SALES APPLICATION ENGINEER (ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM)

to join our dynamic team in Alpharetta, GA as part of the ESS Team!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will have strong relationship building skills and outstanding communication skills at all levels of an organization. Additionally, the successful ESS Residential Sales Application Engineer will have a strong strategic grasp of the market and will contribute to go to market strategy, as well as provide technical support during the sales cycle. The ESS Residential Sales Engineer will be expected to provide actionable competitor intelligence and regular performance analysis to sales management.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Train installers on installation of equipment both in person and through virtual training sessions
  • Support sales team and installers with application support for different installation types
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding products, answer questions from distributors and installers, and handle complaints.
  • Provide warranty diagnoses and authorizations
  • Maintain a regular schedule of on-site visits where installations will be reviewed, maintain relationships with ESS team to include purchasing, production, quality control, service, sales, and general management.
  • Attend trade shows and participate in education and training conferences.
  • Provide input for product improvement in the areas of technical design, configuration, and specifications for new products

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • An AET or BS, ME or EE degree in a technical subject or equivalent related work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the energy industry (PV, ESS, EMS)
  • Residential Sales Engineer experience in energy industry.
  • Willingness to pursue and attend additional training related to performance of job
  • Motivated and Self-Starter
  • Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups
  • Dynamic personality with great communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned territory and the U.S. with up to 50% travel
