Specialist, Print Sample
Responsible for producing best quality samples for complete portfolio; including preflight and color management. Leads and customer demonstrations as required.
THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION IN BOCA RATON, FL
2ND SHIFT 1-9PM
Operate printing equipment/print production.
- Identifies best quality media to support sample requests inclusive of but not exclusive to weight, opacity, finish, coatings and brightness.
- Operates, loads media, and sets printer color presets
- Responsible for file preparation and color management.
- Identifies and is capable of utilizing various print definition languages and files.
- Responsible for documenting sample creation and production criteria.
- Leads demos and events when required
Able to operate finishing equipment
- Ensures that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintains a clean and orderly environment.
- Corrects or creates Impositions and Layout requirements for production environments.
- Supports customers with advanced color workflow issues.
- Color matches to hard copy samples and is knowledgeable of press color management capabilities
- Communicates to sales or customers technical press capabilities
Experience in printing pre-sales/post-sales support in office and/or production environments required
Knowledge of industry requirements for printing
Knowledge of print manufacturing including but not limiting to finishing..
Offset, Inkjet or toner printing experience, Adobe Creative Suite experience in color printing environments, Enfocus PitStop experience or similar color management tools for file and color corrections.
Knowledge in Microsoft office products Excel, Word and Power Point
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 2-4 years of related experience. Experience in printing pre-sales/post-sales support in office and/or production environments preferred.
Media: Knowledge of MSDS. Knowledge of industry requirements for printing in TDM and commercial printing. Knowledge of media manufacturing as it relates to paper for printing.
Color: Offset, Inkjet or toner printing experience, Adobe Creative Suite experience in color printing environments, Enfocus PitStop experience or similar color management tools for file and color corrections. Knowledge of the theory of four color process printing, ability to explain the theory. Network print server platform and RIP experience. Advanced in Microsoft office products Excel, Word and Power Point. Media characteristic and manufacturing understanding. n/a Must be able to lift heavy paper cartons up to 50lbs. and move rolls of paper.
