What to Expect

The Senior Analyst will play a central role in Tesla’s capital markets activities, including managing Tesla’s credit facilities, supporting the structuring and execution of new financing transactions for Tesla’s automotive and energy businesses, and leading other strategic initiatives as needed. The individual will work collaboratively with internal business partners from treasury, financial planning, accounting, legal, tax, risk, financial services, engineering, and other operational teams. The Sr. Analyst will be an effective communicator who can interface with senior leadership, banking partners, investors, and service providers. Finally, a successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated aptitude for being a team player, and have a strong dose of common sense, practicality, and adaptability.

What You’ll Do

  • Leading the analytics, reporting, compliance, appraisal, and audit activity for Tesla’s corporate and product financing credit facilities.
  • Preparing due diligence, collateral, asset performance, offering memorandum, and documentation materials to support new financings.
  • Creating accurate, well-structured financial models for corporate credit, warehouse, securitization, and term debt transactions.
  • Supporting Tesla’s corporate credit rating process.
  • Collaborating with business development teams to identify and create financial solutions for new product offerings.
  • Managing internal and external performance reporting activities.
  • Overseeing other strategic capital markets projects as necessary.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, structured finance, project finance, portfolio management or consulting with a strong track record of superior performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to convey complicated and technical points clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with legal, accounting, tax, financial planning, software, engineering, and other operational teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Environmental Management, Computer Science or a related field. Master’s degree a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and treasury operations.
  • Expert with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in writing queries in Microsoft SQL and database reporting.
  • High energy, results-oriented, dependable individual who will enjoy the challenge of a rapidly evolving global organization.
