Note re Covid-19: We are currently working fully remotely. Once safe to do so, adhering to the highest level of public health advice, we will shift back to our “more in than out” policy for team members located within the GTA, with an average 3 days/week being in-office and 2 days/week offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Position Overview


Special Account Manager


Job Description

Position Summary:


The individual will be responsible for (i) ensuring that client relationships are managed in compliance with FundThrough guidelines and other policies; (ii) coordinating daily purchases and collateral management with operations; (iii) managing distressed and underperforming credits to maximize recovery while balancing time and expense; and (iv) being proactive in evaluating client needs and challenges, both to manage risk and to enhance client retention.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact to the client, maintaining an awareness of business problems and providing services as required.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the transaction structure, financial performance, collateral, documentation, industry trends, compliance with terms and conditions, and any other factors that impact FundThrough’s risk exposure.
  • Review agings, verifications and trend analyses to identify any signs of financial deterioration. 
  • Ensure that transactions remain properly documented and perfected , conforming to legal requirements and Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or executive(s).

Education & Experience

  • 2 - 3 years’ experience managing and factoring transactions in the construction industry is desired.
  • Workout experience in and out of court, including bankruptcy court, is desired.

Skills & Abilities Required

  • Problem solving and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communications, negotiations and customer relationships skills  are required.
  • Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for handling frequent interruptions, balancing several ongoing tasks and working in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions provided by management
