Cvent is looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior Pricing Operations Analyst to join our team of experienced pricing professionals to manage our Salesforce CPQ pricing projects and operations and provide vital support other areas of our pricing team (25% share). This unique role will allow the successful candidate to learn all the fundamentals aspects of pricing through our CPQ operations and support for other vital areas of our pricing team. This role is ideal for a candidate with pricing/sales operations/business consulting experience trying to break into a pricing role where training, support and a career path in the space will be provided.
What You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate primary task will be to manage our Salesforce CPQ tool and related projects (gathering business requirements, working closely with our CRM CPQ team to create scalable solutions, project manage and plan the projects, provide thorough testing supported by a team of dedicated testers, sign off for scheduled CRM releases, provide quality control and send out communications). This role will also require basic data manipulation and analysis (data pulls, reports) and ongoing support to other pricing areas and functions (ie: price performance monitoring, liaison with sales/sales operations, strategic pricing projects).
Relevant sales or pricing operations experience in a B2B environment is a must for this role. A very strong working knowledge of Salesforce (ie: opportunities, quotes, accounts, contracts, reports) is also a must, while a good working knowledge of CPQ (use of quote line editor and knowledge of pricing) is highly desirable.
The Senior Pricing Operations Analyst must have a high level of energy and be capable of establishing a very collaborative environment with the major stakeholders (CRM team/sales/marketing/finance/products) to support the achievement of departmental goals. Experience in a consulting role would be very beneficial in this position, but not required.
The role is operationally oriented so constant communication with management/key internal stakeholders and very fast turnaround times will be a must for the candidate to be successful.
What You Need For This Position
- 5-7 years of working user experience with Salesforce
- BS in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Business
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CPQ pricing is highly desirable
- Experience with Project Management is highly desirable
- 5-7 years of sales or pricing operations experience (managing contracts/opportunities, running reports, manage list price changes, price sheets, communications) in a B2B environment
- Good working knowledge of Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, formulas) and Powerpoint Presentations is required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a fast pacing environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Consulting experience is a plus
