People Analytics Manager, Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits) - San Francisco, CA
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to lead a team to develop sound research and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a high performing team, developing strengths of individual contributors, strategic and tactical execution of a team roadmap, predictive analysis and research knowledge of large data sets and a good understanding of HR processes and programs. This role will support the team’s focus on Total Rewards analytics (which includes compensation and benefits), and will reside in our People Analytics & Workforce Strategy organization.
We are looking for someone who is able to influence both within the People Analytics team and across our cross functional partners. The desired candidate will have experience creating and finding solutions to challenging talent questions. This person will use analytical and strategic thinking to solve problems and be able to influence business partners.
People Analytics Manager, Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits) Responsibilities
- Grow, manage, and develop a team of researchers and analysts leading quantitative research focused on our compensation and life@ (benefits) teams
- Support the analytics team - ensure the team is productive, engaged, and thriving in their career
- Build relationships with teams, stakeholders, and partners in different parts of the organization
- Communicate with stakeholders and other internal teams to understand business problems and develop and deliver data-driven solutions
- Prioritize short and long-term needs in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data and business issues
- Encourage ideation, innovation, and collaboration among the team
- PhD and 5+ (or MA/MS with 7+) years experience in a field emphasizing applied people research in organizations (e.g., social psychology, organizational behavior, sociology, industrial/organizational psychology, economics, political science, or another relevant discipline)
- 2+ years of consulting or corporate work experience focused on using data to uncover insights that drive action and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences
- 2+ years experience managing a team of researchers or quantitative focused analysts
- Demonstrated track record of applying statistical methods, such as linear and logistic regression, and research methodology (especially non-equivalent observational designs) to business problems
- Experience managing and analyzing data using tools such as SQL, R, or Python and experience troubleshooting others' analyses and code
- Experience managing team members from different disciplines and in different locations
- Experience road mapping, future planning, and strategy setting at both the team-level and project-level
- Experience communicating technical results to technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of an organization
- Experience working with HR/organizational people data
- Coaching and people development skills
- Experience working with, influencing, and presenting findings to senior level stakeholders
- Experience demonstrating exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data and business issues
- 3+ years experience working internally within a medium to large organization
- 4+ years direct management experience
- Understanding of data visualization principles
- Experience developing tools, conducting empirical research, practical implementation, knowledge of best practices
- Experience doing analytics based research in compensation or benefits
