Open-Source Strategy Program Manager
Minimum qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with open-source or developer technologies.
- Experience managing communities or volunteer organizations.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with successful program management.
- Experience successfully growing organizations and building metrics for measuring community health.
- History of leadership in large and diverse organizations (e.g., board positions, volunteer activity).

The Program Development team oversees Google’s strategic interests in open-source projects we care about. We create and support healthy open-source projects through governance, relationship-building, and ensuring an excellent contributor experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage a Google open-source project portfolio, helping to evolve policies and practices, tools and playbooks, and documenting best practices.
- Understand significant components of the ecosystem, and identify gaps or opportunities to create or participate in strategically important communities.
- Work closely with the project contributors to enable close relationships between external and internal developers.
- Build and maintain numerous internal technology partnerships across Google and contribute to relevant content and messaging efforts.
