Job summary

The AWS Rouge One team is re-defining how we engage and source technical talent at Amazon. As the talent landscape continues to evolve, we are paving the path to raise the bar on candidate engagement and retention.

As a Tech Sourcing Recruiter, you will be at the forefront of attracting, engaging and retaining talent. This role will focus on delivering scalable, transparent and innovative technical recruiting pipelines and process. You will have the ability to work across technology teams, redefining internal customer partnership, while creating a sustainable recruitment pipeline that raises the bar on delivery.

The Tech Sourcing Recruiter will be responsible for talent attraction strategies against a timeline and will utilize experience setting benchmarks and metrics. Successful recruiters on this team will utilize their experience in setting benchmarks, forecasting and tracking against metrics while prioritizing to meet hiring targets. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done. They draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders and hiring managers.

  • Work closely with Business and HR leaders to influence and deliver a quality assessment and candidate experience through all aspects of the recruitment funnel.
  • Assess and qualify candidates against Amazon’s Principles and build talent pools for future of critical profiles.
  • Scale sourcing methodologies and tools to meet the growing appetite for passive candidate attraction techniques within the business.
  • Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.
  • Recruit passive tech candidates and possess the mentality to identify and gauge chemistry of candidates for role fit and understand their motivation rather than sell a role.
  • Provides strategic guidance and becomes an advisor business leader in matters related to technical and non-technical hiring by delivering results.
  • Develop sourcing models and plans to generate technical and non-technical talent pools, create and execute robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest talent and calibrate job profiles with hiring managers.
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
  • Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
  • Interview candidates within the framework of the position specification. Possess strong ability to screen, interview and prepare a candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
  • Participate in and/or own special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for senior-level openings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of progressive recruiting experience for technical technical roles with a focus on passive candidate generation, engagement, and closing strategies
  • 2+ years of experience working cross-functionally across the recruiting process, communicating and partnering with multiple stakeholders
  • -2+ years of experience utilizing recruiting tools for sourcing and candidate/applicant management, e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM and ATS systems, web search, and other sourcing products
  • 1+ years of experience with recruiting-related data; able to produce metrics-driven recruiting documents

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the customer
  • Ability to execute recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Strong consulting skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $137,00 - 186,500/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
