Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience leading and managing a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing technical teams and programs.
  • Experience in executive-level communication.
  • Understanding of large scale distributed systems and technical judgment.
  • Ability to engage with senior executives.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary range between $180,000 - $194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Responsibilities


  • Lead strategy and insight for advocacy initiatives related to helping grow the developer and technical practitioner community around Google Cloud Platform Infrastructure and ensuring their success.
  • Build, develop, and amplify the team and work with developer relations managers and engineers and keep them engaged and productive.
  • Manage stakeholders across all functions within Google Cloud Infrastructure, Databases, and GKE/Anthos teams, and educate developers on best practices of effective integration with Google Cloud Infrastructure, Databases, and GKE/Anthos products as part of their workloads and use cases.
  • Advocate for developers and other technical practitioners internally, and influence Google Cloud developer product strategy by working with Product Management, Engineering, Support, Public Relation, Marketing, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with external developers to ensure successful implementation of products.
