About the job

Our team has a goal and the pathway forward to be a global model to build sustainable neighborhoods by establishing district systems (e.g., energy, water, and waste) and renewable energy strategies into Google's large-scale global real estate development projects.

Our team is a part of the Global Real Estate Development organization and has a number of projects in development to help deliver on Google's Sustainability goals.

Google's Global Real Estate Development team leads the design and construction of our offices, campuses, and mixed-use neighborhoods.

In this role, you will focus on enabling the ongoing and sustainable delivery of energy, water, and waste systems that take advantage of the scale of the development to deliver on Google’s impressive Sustainability goals. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to deliver projects that will make a positive environmental and social impact.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an operations plan for each District Systems and Energy project clearly articulating the operating goal, performance expectations, asset management plans, budgets, schedules, and all other desired outcomes.
  • Manage the interface between the project delivery, commissioning, start-up, and operations to deliver the performance outcomes. Coordinate with the adjacent development and planning teams and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the District Systems team on various legal, regulatory, business case, and other matters related to the implementation of District Systems and Renewable Energy solutions while incorporating Google’s sustainability goals into the projects.
  • Manage internal communication and collaboration across Google stakeholders, through reporting on outcomes, small working sessions, larger design workshops, executive leadership design reviews, and team coordination.
  • Build a roadmap that enables the evolution of processes, tools, and systems to unlock more intelligence and opportunities.
