Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working in the telecommunications/smartphone industry in sales, pricing, marketing, go-to-market, retail operations, or a related role.
  • Experience discussing investment agreements, building business plans, and engaging with telecommunication channels, retailers, and/or original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with category management/development and channel marketing.
  • Experience creating presentations for carriers, retailers, and/or OEMs.
  • Experience with partnering and executing partnerships.
  • Ability to analyze and structure complex agreements.
  • Ability to drive growth through strategic thinking and partnerships.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with product, technical, and business teams.

The Android OS Go-To-Market (GTM) team works cross-functionally to set GTM strategy and ensure the coordination of activities and tactics with our carrier and retailer Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to sustain ecosystem growth. Our team combines strategy, planning, and day-to-day execution to work cross-functionally with Business Development, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, and Finance teams.

In this role, you will focus on the growth of the Android ecosystem in Canada. You will also partner closely with the the team's executives.

We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Responsibilities


  • Develop comprehensive GTM plans for Android devices with key channels (e.g., carriers, retailers, and e-tailers).
  • Manage relationships with channel partners and be accountable for the success of Android in Canada partner channels.
  • Help set overall GTM plans (e.g., budgets, shipment, and growth goals) consistent with overall country strategy for Android.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across Google, (e.g., Product, Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Legal, Business Development, and Compliance).
  • Work with partners to unlock opportunities. Cultivate a healthy ecosystem for device manufacturers and strengthen their perception of Google and Android in Canada.
