About the role

The Global Experiential Marketing Team is a multidisciplinary team of multi-disciplined event producers, creators, moment makers and marketers. We activate and extend (big and small) campaigns across the globe through unique and engaging events and experiences. In order to tell these stories, we are: merchant obsessed, cross-functionally flexible, champions of inclusivity and diversity and on standby to provide XM support across Shopify.

As an Experiential Producer, you’re comfortable working in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment. You thrive in change and can navigate ambiguity, in order to move our team vision and company mission forward. You lead by example and have a point of view on experiential strategy and approaches, and can make great decisions quickly.. You believe that experiences are as much about emotional impact and behavioral shifting, as it is about acquisition and engagement. You believe that powerful experiences can come in many forms—from a pop-up shop to developer roadshows to large spectacles. You embrace the never-stop-learning mentality and you’re obsessed with the tiny details.


Responsibilities 

  • Work with cross-functional teams and/or external vendors.
  • Support, build, and manage experiential program scope of work, resources, budget, contracts, and timelines.
  • Review, procure, and manage best-in-class vendors to support end-to-end details of Shopify event experiences.
  • Support planning and logistics oversight for Shopify event experience execution, including contingency planning and crisis management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop a seamless user journey.
  • Act as a contributing point of contact and liaison among cross-functional internal teams and stakeholders; and external partners for production requirements.
  • Evolve and build upon the standards of cohesive and innovative storytelling through Shopify event experiences.
  • Partner with cross-functional team leaders to drive program strategies, approaches, and success criteria metrics.
  • Build upon and advocate for the experiential marketing/production discipline and vision.
  • Be creative, resourceful, and GSD.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates strong brand instincts, versatility, and point of view
  • Demonstrated experience building, managing, and executing a wide range of multidisciplinary productions, from conferences to brand spectacles.
  • Production background and experience in working with startup and/or eCommerce industries (bonus points: B2B marketing experience)
  • Strong ability to think in scale and impact, from short-term to long-term and from high-level strategy choices to day-to-day execution
  • High levels of user empathy, social acumen, and self-accountability
  • Passionate about event technology, emerging experiences and thinking outside the box in the context of IRL events
  • Act as a champion for the Experiential Marketing team and position us as experts in our field
