Job summary

We are looking for a highly organized, self-directed Social Media Manager to join the Seattle-based Amazon Cross Channel Marketing organization (XCM). As a member of the team, you will manage the progression and development of Amazon brand social, contributing to defining the strategy, content development, planning, and operations for how to execute our vision for brand social at Amazon across all channels, working closely with other social media managers, cross channel media managers, campaign management, creative, and business stakeholders.

You will mine for and leverage social listening insights and other research inputs to optimize the brand social strategy across channels and to influence future social content and messaging strategies. You will also manage the strategic relationships with publishers to drive partnership roadmaps and collaboration.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Define, execute, track and report well-structured brand social content strategies and paid social amplification along with the development of clear agenda frameworks to drive meaningful insights and content optimization
  • Work with business partners and other key stakeholders to design and carry out brand social activity, ranging from editorial calendar development, to mining insights for input into social content briefs, and direct engagement with customers, fans, and followers in-channel.
  • Work in partnership with Social Creative team to develop best-in-class social content. Collaborate with Social Creative team to progress and sharpen the Amazon brand voice across all social channels.
  • Work directly with publishers to understand their best practices for application and the advancement of brand social at Amazon
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and teams to develop and apply learnings over time


  • 3+ years social marketing experience working with external partners/agencies on digital media campaigns
  • 3+ years working in a social marketing data-driven environment
  • Bachelor's degree


  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in social media marketing and brand advertising
  • A passion for social media and understanding its business impact
  • Experience in advertising operations or media planning including the use of planning and paid amplification tools like Sprinklr or native social channel ad management tools
  • Statistical analysis experience
  • MBA or master’s degree in economics, marketing, finance or related fields
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally and work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to capture and use various data points to develop and measure marketing programs
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality social media campaigns in very dynamic environments
  • Understanding of creative development process and media planning
  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers
