The GSF (Global Specialty Fulfillment) organization leads the innovation of Amazon’s ultra-fast fulfillment initiatives. We are looking for Senior Program Manager who will partner with science and product teams to manage research, experimentation and optimization roadmap across GSF, aligning it with organizational objectives. You will partner with scientists, product managers and technical teams to grow our capabilities in science.

You will program manage our monthly and quarterly science reviews. You will support product managers as they translate research into proof of concepts and products. You will align roadmaps across multiple workstreams, accelerating the work of the team. You will partner with the analytics team on associate and operational metrics/KPIs helping to convert them into regular reporting that steer GSF business and leadership. You will program manage our university partnership.


Key job responsibilities

• Own the research, experimentation and optimization roadmaps across GSF.

• Own communication of science roadmap to leadership.

• Program manage quarterly and monthly science reviews.

• Partner with product managers to test proof of concepts and launch innovative products.

• Partner with scientists, product managers and technical teams to grow our capabilities in science

• Work with tech teams to remove barriers to research, experimentation and optimization.

• Program manage our university partnership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership


• Experience defining requirements, managing progress and identifying blockers

• Experience defining and executing against program requirements

• Demonstrated experience working with and presenting to senior executives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience in program or project management

• Ability to deliver independently, with a high degree of autonomy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Adaptable, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced work environment

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• MBA or Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Social Sciences or Computer Science

• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

• Knowledge of labor scheduling, operations management, marketing and channel management Familiarity with data science, operations research, or behavioral/experimental and social sciences

• Knowledge of SQL, Python, database and reporting tools

• Experience in qualitative research methodologies
