Our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Executive Recruiting team is a highly dynamic and fast paced organization responsible for driving the executive talent acquisition for our cloud services business. Our team continues to grow and evolve to keep pace with our business and we're looking for an exceptional executive recruiter to help us scale the organization even further. This role will partner closely with AWS tech executives to build out their leadership bench strength - one fantastic hire at a time. You'll work closely with Hiring Managers, VPs & HR Business Partners to set search strategies, drive hiring results, refine recruitment processes and closely monitor metrics & search health to ensure we're in the best position to hire the right talent at the right time.


As a Principal Specialty Recruiter with us, you will be responsible for owning and executing on Director and Vice President level searches across AWS, with a primary focus on hiring deeply technical business leaders. Our ideal hire is well-versed in all aspects of an executive search including creative candidate sourcing/research, candidate generation and development, executive customer management and offer negotiation.


Some of the core components of this role include:

· Conducting & managing research to identify and cultivate candidates that enable our ability to effectively scale the way we hire and develop the best

· Creating custom search strategies that will identify and deliver the right leaders for the right roles at the right time

· Developing innovative ways to raise the bar on how Amazon connects with the executive level engineering and product management talent

· Continually contributing to the knowledge base of both our team and the broader executive recruiting by sharing intelligence related to relevant industries and talent pools/profiles

· Building out talent networks in technology and product sectors, tapping knowledgeable industry sources to develop an on-going list of evergreen candidates

· Owning & cultivating HM relationships (you're their go-to and trusted advisor)

· Conducting informational calls, phone screens, interviews & references. You'll actively participate in hiring decisions throughout the candidate life cycle.

· Providing strategic guidance and coaching in close partnership with executive hiring managers & their teams


Critical success factors for this role include:

· Research acumen and creativity - you learn new tech and product domains quickly and understand how to craft effective search strategies within those domains

· Superb communication skills - you're a compelling communicator able to effectively engage the attention of busy, senior executives both internally and externally

· Able to convey complex arguments (at times without the luxury of complete data) and engage with senior level executives with conviction and confidence

· Combine tenacity with tact and high judgement; know when to apply the right pressure and when to move on

· Self-assured, not easily thrown, able to think on your feet; you will be leading complex & highly confidential searches with some of our most seasoned leaders

· Inquisitive; a strong desire to learn & be curious


**This position has the flexibility to be located near any AWS Office nationwide.**

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of relevant recruiting & business experience

• 5+ years’ experience advising, influencing, and/or recruiting at the executive level

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years progressive corporate and/or search firm executive recruiting experience

• Demonstrate a growth mindset; willing to disprove their own beliefs, and curious about new possibilities.

• Results oriented

• Clear and concise in verbal and written communication
