The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We’re positioned right at the intersection of customers, hardware partners and channel partners. We work closely with our external ecosystem and internal business groups to deliver amazing customer experiences powered by Microsoft Windows, Office, Azure, and Windows Server.

In the Device Partner Sales (DPS) Team, we drive growth for Microsoft and our partners through strategic expertise, customer obsession and execution excellence in marketing and selling our winning portfolio of devices and solutions. 


The WW Device Partner GTM team has an opening for a Digital Marketing and Operations Lead within the WW Partner Solution Marketing team. This role is responsible for building and managing relationships within Microsoft (i.e. M&O and GDC) for all platforms, tools and services leveraged by our regional marketing teams. This role will also research new internal and external digital marketing capabilities that elevate our through partner marketing capabilities. In addition, the digital marketing and operations lead will drive marketing excellence for the team by building a defined and sustainable rhythm of the business to measure and monitor marketing efficacy across the partner ecosystem.

Identify, build, and maintain platforms, tools & services to elevate DPS through partner marketing capability

  • Own relationship for existing tools and platforms for the team: One World Sync, OCP, GDC, Global Media team and CCSM
  • Build a digital marketing playbook and best practices for internal and partner use
  • Coordinate campaign brief, execution guidance, and tracking with Global Media Team and Campaign lead
  • Manage M&O MSD relationship and regional integration

Drive marketing excellence by building a defined and sustainable rhythm of the business to measure and monitor marketing efficacy

  • Build a process to review and approve bi-annual marketing plans
  • Build and sustain monthly ROI reporting cadence across both MNA and regional device marketing team
  • Provide feedback into Marketing Approved List and Jumpstart guidance based on ROI and line of business strategy

Key Competencies:

  • Modern Marketing – Passion for modern marketing techniques, platforms, and strategies. Strong understanding of campaign flows, customer journey mapping and corresponding KPIs. Experience researching, piloting, and launching at scale new tools and platforms.
  • Data Analytics – Strong data analytics skills. Ability to look end to end at diver data sets to understand marketing impact at the partner, and regional level. Strong understanding of leading and lagging indicators. Ability to build insights from data.
  • Business Acumen – Understands business objectives and corresponding sales motions to build out marketing plans to support goals. Ability to convert desired business outcomes into marketing KPIs. 
  • Planning, Organizing and Executing – Ability to build and sustain cross functional processes to drive organization efficiency. Clear understanding for how to prioritize workload and maximize resource capacity.
  • Collaboration - Removes barriers by working with others around a shared need or customer benefit. Able to maintain a broader perspective and identifies and evaluates opportunities to enhance work output through cross-group collaboration. Incorporates diverse perspectives to thoroughly address complex business issues.
  • Drive for Results - Sets clear and challenging goals for a portfolio of work and pursues them with enthusiasm and passion. Forecasts resource needs and timing throughout the course of a project and removes obstacles.


Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience
  • OR equivalent experience.


Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 6+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years sales, marketing, technology-based, or business development experience
  • OR equivalent experience.


Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Marketing/Digital Marketing/ Communication Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience (agency or client side, product marketing, digital marketing, etc.)
  • Building and launching new digital marketing capabilities as well as relevant tracking to determine ROI.
  • Ability to set a plan with clarity and drive it through to fruition.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross functional relationships.
  • Proven success at building successful modern marketing strategies (Partner marketing, Lead generation/handling, End User Demand gen)
  • Executive communication skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to lead in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and driving transformation


The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $113,900 and $171,500.


At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
