The Microsoft Strategic Missions and Technologies division focuses on next-generation technology solutions, including specialized teams empowering telecommunications providers; engineering teams who are helping to carry out challenging missions and connecting the cloud to satellites in space; worldwide research teams leading the way to scalable, accessible quantum computing; and the key technology partner to the U.S. Federal government for achieving their diverse organizations’ missions through digital transformation. 

The recently created SMT Growth Innovation and Strategy team is responsible for delivering inspirational experiences and visionary thought leadership, high value scenarios and programs that will lead to new business categories and revenue streams for Microsoft. 

Responsibilities

We are a new team writing on blank sheets of paper and seek an Integrated Marketing Manager responsible for the following: 

Create, maintain and own integrated marketing plans and customer journeys that support thought leadership and revenue generation objectives for US Federal and Missions, ensuring that all engagement points and communications are injected with key messaging and narratives provided by product marketing managers associated with business areas. These plans to be executed with support from social/digital, community/influencer, experiential and business operations leads. 

Identify market needs based on business objectives and customer pain points to architect the end-to-end content BOMs needed to support customer journey, inclusive of email comms and sales & marketing enablement materials, ensuring messaging is aligned with developed narratives. Partner with social/digital lead to advise on social assets and timing needed to support media plan. Create assets or work with agencies to create BOM assets. 

Drive ongoing executional excellence by leading regular data driven planning and optimization discussions to drive deep understanding across marketing and seller insights, information on MEI, and data from social/digital, influencer/community and experiential engagements. 

Conduct audience research to identify and understand audience personas and segmentation at the market level and at the account/role level to support IM plans. 

Work with Business Operations to define appropriate account segmentation and identify key accounts within these segments. Develop and co-own specific sets of ABM plans with sellers, customer journeys, campaigns and engagements against these priority accounts.  

Work with business priority product marketing managers and other marketing leads to integrate business priority messaging into 1P and 3P events plans with specific content/messages.  

Work with GDC to identify and integrate SMT thought leadership into existing GEPs, or to develop new GEPs as needed. 

Identify, lead and drive third party media relationships that best support specific business objectives for areas of focus. 

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications: 

 

8+ years building and executing integrated marketing strategies targeting the enterprise and/or public sector with a track record of increasing engagement and driving growth  

Undergraduate degree. 

US Citizen. 

Proven success in creating multi-touch targeted campaigns and programs across social, email, events and other channels that drive deep account penetration.  

Excellent communication and storytelling skills with a proven track record in driving results by inspiring others to take action 

A pro-active self-starter with experience leading and driving multiple complex, global projects spanning different businesses and disciplines 

Proven success in bringing new ideas to fruition. 

Passion for technology and the business impact it can drive for customers. 

Proven success in working in highly ambiguous environments and working across diverse slate of stakeholders.
