We’re looking for a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis ("FP&A") Business Partner to help us support the next exciting phase in Hootsuite’s growth. As a Senior, FP&A Business Partner, you will gain a deep understanding of our business and be a key player in setting, monitoring and exceeding our financial plans and forecasts. You will directly support FP&A's stakeholders by providing insightful financial analyses, commentary and business recommendations to help drive business performance. You are equally adept at analyzing numbers and building strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.



Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Collaborate with budget holders to prepare and monitor the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for one or more departments or GL's
  • Monitor actual results vs. budget and meet regularly with budget holders to review variances and changes.

Management Reporting

  • Prepare recurring management, board and investor reporting, including variance analysis
  • Provide analysis, commentary and insights for inclusion in corporate performance reporting to executives, Board and investors.

Decision Support / Finance and Business Advisory

  • Prepare financial models for complex business cases and decision support, including discounted cash flow and financial statement modeling
  • Provide analysis, commentary and insights for inclusion in corporate performance reporting to executives, Board and investors.
  • Serve as a key business partner working directly with stakeholders to provide financial analysis and support in regards to strategic planning, scenario modeling and supporting the development of business cases.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency by identifying financial and operational control gaps and making recommendations to mitigate risks and improve internal systems and processes



  • 5+ years of experience in an FP&A or similar role
  • Possess a professional accounting designation CPA, CFA, CBV or an MBA
  • Financial modeling and analyzing data and performance, particularly with Excel/Google Sheets and corporate performance management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of key SaaS metrics is an asset
  • An understanding of Research and Development key performance indicators is an asset
