Microsoft's HR Services team is seeking an Employee Moves Program Manager. As the Employee Moves Program Manager you will scope, design, and deploy key programs across Microsoft HR to enable a delightful experience for our employees. You will also be accountable for the programmatic design and development of core employee experiences moving in between roles and/or locations that enables employees to achieve their career aspiration within Microsoft. You'll leverage your program design experience and expertise to help further evolve Microsoft’s employee experience strategy and programs by creating seamless and world class experiences, effective and scalable global solutions and continuous process development and management across our Service teams, HR partners and other corporate functions.

 

The Employee Moves Program Manager is a highly visible contributor within HR working with a variety of people and teams. As a Program Manager, you will drive and deliver complex HR programs that require substantial experience of policy and process development, partnering with multiple stakeholders, working with technology, and be experienced in a broad scope of HR experiences. The key to the success of this role is ensuring the program is well-designed and delivers on employee needs with the expected experience impact while actively collaborating across HR and Business partner teams to deliver the best end to end employee experience.

 

HR Services is critical to the overall effectiveness of the HR experience across Microsoft. HR Services brings the HR support model and experience to the scale of the global Microsoft employee population by providing the platform for end-to-end operational services and employee experiences. HR Services is responsible for the operational delivery across a broad range of employee life-cycle experiences such as onboarding, talent movement, and offboarding.

 

Location: WA preferred but open to US remote with the ability to work PST hours.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design & Measure:
  • Identify, design and implement a programmatic approach in driving the experience for employee movement. This includes policy, procedure, process and tool development initiatives in alignment with Microsoft’s employee experience philosophy, combining to ensure Microsoft is a first-choice destination for employees through seamless and effective solutions that are also compliant with operational standards.
  • Partner across a wide network of partners and programs in aligning initiatives to result in seamless employee lifecycle experiences. Work closely with regional counterparts in ensuring the operational health of the Service, as well as collecting feedback and input around development opportunities to be driven in a programmatic approach.
  • Make key program decisions and communicate business requirements to ensure the program intent is reflected in the overall experience including process, system, and readiness.
  • Prioritize business requirements and features with a clear focus on employee experience.
  • Drive accountability for overall program effectiveness and understanding through various internal listening systems as well as external market benchmarking.
  • Identify, conduct and manage deep analytics to support global program recommendations or solutions
  • Formulate and present recommendations and drive decision making with key stakeholders
  • Project Management:
  • Lead projects and steering committees across all relevant stakeholders to ensure program decisions are made holistically.
  • Project manage all aspects of the design cycle; including developing the timelines and interdependencies across functions and relevant rhythm of business and communication of status to key partners
  • Partner with support teams who enable the program design to ensure critical milestones are understood and met.
  • Find solutions to complex problems and analyze trade-offs to meet milestones
  • Readiness & Communication:
  • Create all related program content and materials for communication and training to the broad population
  • Conduct research on industry trends and benchmark best practices with key industry comparators
  • Build strong partnerships and extensive collaboration across the HR and Business function.
  • Ensure that program objectives are effectively communicated, articulated throughout the organization, including the use of self-service technology
  • Responsible for driving standardization and continuous improvement in area of responsibility.
  • Accountable for Data Privacy and security of your implemented projects

What You Need

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A track record of exceptional inclusive collaboration across a wide-array of internal business groups, stakeholders and execution partners building alliances that seamlessly work towards common goals and objectives.
  • The ability to think strategically and solve complex business challenges initially where there is ambiguity.
  • Demonstrate success in working in a global organization, involving cross-organizational stakeholders at all levels driving to alignment and action.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, employees and teams to envision a different future.
  • Expertise using design thinking, personas, insights, segmentation and trend analysis to develop capabilities to support employee experience vision, strategy and offerings.
  • Demonstrated strength in data-based decision-making, analysis, influencing, and storytelling.
  • Strong project management skills across a matrixed organization.
  • Proven change management experience, as well as, communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable presenting to executive audiences.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

  • 9+ years experience in Human Resources, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, or related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field AND 7+ years experience in Operations, Compliance, Human Resources, Engineering, or related field. 

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $125,000 to $187,700. 

 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
