Do you enjoy creating solutions through the development, implementation, testing and maintenance of website applications? As the Senior Web Developer, you will provide oversight to all junior developers, as well as build and optimize webpages to satisfy internal and customer needs. This is a full time permanent position, and is best suited for an individual who is interested in working in a creative and fast-paced environment.


Web Development (60%):

  • Lead the development of the company’s 2 online stores 
  • Manage the development of internal systems such as Inventory Software, and the internal ticketing system
  • Liaise with designers, e-commerce and user experience team to optimize site functionality, performance and aesthetics using back end and front end languages and frameworks
  • Heavy focus on SEO upkeep and maintenance
  • Utilize programming, markup, and scripting languages to create features and functionality for e-commerce applications
  • Understand business requirements as well as determine and design web-based solutions that add value
  • Ensure solutions work seamlessly with existing software and applications
  • Run functionality tests, debug codes and perform code reviews to address deficiencies and provide proactive maintenance
  • Manage user training, support, advice and feedback – from general user guidance to special project roll-outs
  • Oversee website audits, perform competitive analyses and suggest new initiatives
  • Ensure the site uptime and optimal load time are meeting industry standards
  • Manage NetSuite support cases that are related to SuiteCommerce Advanced
  • Establish development best practices for web updates
  • Continuously learn and engage with emerging web development trends and technologies
  • Perform other projects and tasks as assigned

Leadership (40%):

  • Prioritize development projects, set timelines and assign tasks to team members
  • Mentor junior members of the team and participate in code reviews
  • Direct junior staff in the coding and/or configuration and testing needed to meet documented needs
  • Monitor team performance and manage reporting metrics
  • Oversee junior developers, evaluate their performance and reward accomplishments
  • Support with the development, hiring and training of new team members as needed for future growth


  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field
  • Highly experienced in retail e-commerce web development 
  • Intermediate understanding in UX/UI Design 
  • 3+ years of experience in programming
  • Highly experienced working with software development (JSON, Backbone.js, Node.js, MVC architecture, HTML, Javascript, jQuery, Web Services, Single Page Applications, PHP)
  • Experience leading a team, sharing knowledge and mentoring junior developers
  • Experience implementing processes and tools to maximize the effectiveness of development teams, such as agile methodologies
  • Excellent communications skills, both in verbal and written
  • Advanced knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting 
  • Experience in Data Analysis, Data Scrubbing/Cleansing


  • Knowledge in NetSuite SuiteCommerce Advanced websites
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and Google analytics and ensuring that applications will adhere to them
  • Knowledge in SSP Applications, SuiteScript, Commerce APIs & Item Search APIs
  • Experience in working with Data Layers
  • Previous experience in multi-site development
